Steeped in history, Grenville Hall was a racing establishment around 1871 surrounded by its own racetrack. Grenville Hall was also used by the Allied Forces for D-Day in 1944 with both Winston Churchill and Lord Montgomery (one of the most decorated military leaders of World War II) having stayed at the property. The surrounding outbuildings and land being used as a camp housing up to a thousand soldiers at one point during the war. The property itself comes with a wealth of both charm and character with many period features including high ceilings, parquet flooring, open fireplaces and sash windows. Accommodation on the ground floor briefly comprises a drawing room with separate dining area, family/music room, formal dining room, good-sized kitchen/breakfast room, utility room, guest bedroom and bathroom. On the first floor there are then a further three double bedrooms, en-suite, bathroom and cloakroom.
