This wonderful house is nestled in the village on a private, no through road. The front door, to this very handsome house, opens to a wide HALLWAY, with an impressive feature staircase. This is a hallmark of local and well respected builder, Hamish Macbeth. The very stylish laminate flooring throughout the ground floor gives the feeling of connectivity throughout the living spaces. There is a CLOAKROOM off the hallway, and doorway through to the LIVING ROOM. The log burner takes centre stage, although your eye is drawn to the double patio doors that lead to the veranda and delightful garden. From the living room, a pair of glass doors can be opened up into the DINING ROOM. The window to the garden throws light in and more glass doors to the KITCHEN make this a flexible, living space. The kitchen has a very comfortable feel, it is light and airy, large yet cosy. It is homely, tasteful and restive. The stone flooring runs throughout the space through to the double French doors which open out to the pretty, enclosed garden. The white goods include Neff cooker and hob, and there is an integrated larder fridge. Attractive wall and base units are separated by generous work surfaces. The UTILITY/BOOT ROOM is off the kitchen, with sink, plus plumbing and space for the usual household white goods. There is a handy side door, which opens directly to the driveway.
Rise up the impressive stairs to the bedroom accommodation. The MASTER BEDROOM has an EN-SUITE with shower, handwash basin and WC. There is a connecting door to BEDROOM 4. This room has a single storage cupboard, and views over the very pretty village rooftops - could make for a very useful DRESSING ROOM! BEDROOM TWO is a double room with a tryptch of velux windows and access to a "Jack and Jill" FAMILY BATHROOM, which has a bath with shower over, handwash basin and WC. BEDROOM THREE - we call the 'Three Bears Room'! A double room, and room for one more! there are charming views across thatched roofs and across to Hambury Tout.
Pull up to the house and there is PARKING for two cars on the gravel drive in front of the SINGLE GARAGE and a door to the delightful GARDEN.
Partly walled, the garden gives the feeling of privacy and seclusion. There is a timeless feel here, sunny spots to have coffee and dappled shade for a cream tea. The inspiration here, is the wild flowers grown in pots, attracting the bees and butterflies. You could have bird feeders to adorn the garden, attracting interest - you could sit, watch and listen from the VERANDA which runs across the house. There is space enough for a large dining table and there have been many family soirees here. A really happy spot!
