A unique development opportunity in unspoilt countryside.
The barns are situated within a lovely stretch of open countryside on an attractive tree-lined country lane. The site, which extends to 2.5 acres, has a lovely outlook over farmland to the west and currently contains former farm buildings: three to be converted, with others demolished. Within the attached pack are copies of the planning permission, site plan, environmental assessment and ecological survey.
Chelmsford City rail station: 7.2 miles (rail service to Stratford and Liverpool Street); M11 (junction 7): 14 miles; Stansted Airport 14.6 miles (all distances approximate).
Good Easter is a pretty village situated between Bishop’s Stortford, Chelmsford and Great Dunmow. The market town of Great Dunmow lies to the north and offers a local school and good choice of shops and restaurants, whilst Bishop’s Stortford and Chelmsford lie north and east respectively and provide a more comprehensive range of shopping, educational and recreational facilities.
There are private schools in Chelmsford and Felsted and state schools for all ages in all three locations (the barns are within the catchment for King Edward IV Grammar School and Chelmsford County High School for Girls). Commuters can access mainline rail services from Chelmsford, Bishop’s Stortford, Sawbridgeworth and Harlow, while Epping underground station on the Central Line provides access to Stratford, Liverpool Street and Central London. The M11 is accessible at Harlow (junctions 7 and 8). Stansted Airport is a short drive away and the A120 to the north connects Bishop’s Stortford with Braintree.
Acreage: 2.5 Acres
From Chelmsford take the A1060 and continue for just over 6 miles, turning right into Fountain Road. Continue on this road for just over a mile at the T-junction (at the centre of Good Easter village). Continue straight over into Mill Road and continue until you reach the T-junction, turning left where the barns will be found immediately on the right-hand side.
