Description

This is an elegant slice of an impressive country manor house which dates from the 1900s and combines period features with modern comfort. The accommodation is arranged over 3 floors, and has been sympathetically upgraded by the current owners and is approaching 2,500 square feet to include a self-contained suite on the top floor; ideal for an au pair, teenager or home office.

This impressive flint fronted building is approached via a gravel driveway leading to an area providing off road parking.
The property has an enclosed porch, which leads through to the light and spacious entrance hallway and onto the ground floor accommodation. This versatile space can also be used as a dining room and links to the airy dual aspect drawing room with high ceilings providing a unique feeling of space. There is a cloakroom off the hallway with storage cupboard and double doors from the reception hall to the recently renovated contemporary kitchen which includes solid oak units with black granite work surfaces, breakfast bar with complementary floor tiling and a range of integral appliances including double oven, hob and a pantry to store away extras, recycling etc.

Stairs from the reception hall lead to the first-floor landing and the three first floor bedrooms with well-proportioned master bedroom benefitting from bespoke fitted wardrobes and a classically styled en-suite bathroom with roll top bath, double shower cubical, WC and wash hand basin.
A staircase leads from the first-floor landing to a versatile second floor suite converted by the current owners and offering an ideal space to either live or work. This suite is currently arranged as a home office with solid oak desk tops and storage units with a additional seating area and also benefits from a shower room and kitchen/utility.

Externally the property sits in its own plot with further communal grounds and double garage. The house and its secluded gardens are positioned in the middle of the South Downs National Park with an award winning country pub just 2 minutes’ walk .
