From Chelmsford take the Chelmer Valley Road onto the A130/Essex Regiment Way signposted to Stansted and Sudbury. Proceed over 4 roundabouts continuing on the A130 and at the next roundabout take the third exit onto the A131 Braintree Road signposted Sudbury, Braintree and Great Leighs. After about 0.6 of a mile turn right into a cul-de-sac lane (Grasshopper Garden Machinery Centre dead ahead) and turn right. Chatham Hall Lodge will be seen a short distance along the lane on the right-hand side.
